Amoxicillin-Clavulanate is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections, including some sinus, respiratory, skin, and other susceptible infections. A licensed provider reviews your symptoms, allergies, medical history, and current medications to determine whether this treatment is appropriate for you.

Amoxicillin 875 mg + Clavulanate Potassium 125 mg

Amoxicillin is a penicillin-class antibiotic that targets susceptible bacteria. Clavulanate helps prevent certain bacteria from breaking down amoxicillin, allowing the antibiotic to remain effective against a broader range of susceptible bacteria.

Amoxicillin works by interfering with the formation of bacterial cell walls, which helps eliminate susceptible bacteria. Clavulanate blocks certain beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria that could otherwise inactivate amoxicillin.

Together, they provide broader antibacterial coverage than amoxicillin alone for certain infections. Your provider determines whether this combination is appropriate based on your symptoms and medical history.

Understanding Amoxicillin-Clavulanate: Use & Safety

Understanding Amoxicillin-Clavulanate: Use & Safety

What it is

Amoxicillin-Clavulanate is a broad-spectrum antibiotic combining amoxicillin with clavulanate. Together, they help treat certain bacterial infections, including some sinus, respiratory, skin, and other susceptible infections.

Why precision matters

Not every infection needs an antibiotic. Our licensed providers review your symptoms, medical history, medications, and allergies to determine whether Amoxicillin-Clavulanate is an appropriate treatment for you.

Safety first

Take exactly as directed by your provider, preferably with food to help reduce stomach upset. Tell your provider about any penicillin or cephalosporin allergies, liver problems, or other medications you take before starting treatment.

Need Antibiotics? Let's Do It Safely.

Amoxicillin-Clavulanate can treat certain bacterial infections, but antibiotics aren’t right for every illness. Choosing the appropriate treatment helps improve outcomes while reducing unnecessary antibiotic use.

Our US-licensed medical providers review your symptoms, health history, medications, and allergies to determine whether Amoxicillin-Clavulanate is an appropriate option for you.
