Understanding Your Emergency Medication Kit: Use & Safety
What it is
The DoctorAdam Emergency Medication Kit includes eight commonly used medications across several treatment categories, including antibiotics, antifungal, antiparasitic, and nausea-relief medications.
Why precision matters
Each medication serves a different purpose and should only be used for the appropriate condition. Your provider reviews your medical history, allergies, current medications, and individual needs before determining whether the kit is appropriate for you.
Safety first
Do not start a medication simply because symptoms appear similar to a previous illness. Follow the medication-specific directions provided by your healthcare provider, including instructions on when and how each medication should be used.
Prepared for the Unexpected. Used With the Right Guidance.
The DoctorAdam Emergency Medication Kit includes eight medications selected to address different types of health needs, including certain bacterial, fungal, and parasitic infections, as well as nausea and vomiting.
Because each medication has a different purpose, the right treatment depends on your symptoms and medical history. Your licensed provider reviews your allergies, current medications, and individual health needs and provides guidance on when and how each medication should be used.

Not always. Many common infections can be evaluated online through a symptom review with a licensed provider. In some cases, a provider may recommend an in-person visit or lab test first if that's needed to safely diagnose you.
Most patients hear back from a licensed provider within 24 hours.
If prescribed, your medication is shipped directly to your home in discreet packaging.
Some individuals choose to combine different wellness therapies based on their personal goals. Your healthcare provider can help determine whether a combination approach is appropriate for your needs and lifestyle.
If a provider determines that treatment is not appropriate, a full refund will be issued.
Medication Allergies
If you have any known medication allergies, please include them in your medical history form when placing your order. Your licensed provider will review your allergies along with your medical history and current medications before determining which treatments are appropriate for you. Depending on your allergy history, certain medications may be excluded from your kit or replaced with an appropriate alternative when available.
Please be aware of the following common allergy considerations:
Sulfa Allergy: Trimethoprim-Sulfamethoxazole should be avoided.
Penicillin and/or Cephalosporin Allergy: Cephalexin, Amoxicillin, and Amoxicillin-Clavulanate may not be appropriate.
Macrolide Allergy: Azithromycin should be avoided.
Tetracycline Allergy: Doxycycline should be avoided.
Fluoroquinolone Allergy: Ciprofloxacin and Ofloxacin should be avoided.
Corticosteroid Allergy: Methylprednisolone, Dexamethasone, and Budesonide may not be appropriate.
Capsule Material
Capsule materials may vary. Depending on the medication and pharmacy formulation, capsules may be made with hypromellose or bovine gelatin. Please disclose any beef or gelatin allergies during your medical evaluation so your provider can take this into consideration.
Each medication in the kit has its own possible side effects — for example, stomach upset or diarrhea with the antibiotics, increased sun sensitivity with doxycycline, and headache or constipation with ondansetron. Directions and safety information for every medication are included, and your provider will discuss potential risks and benefits during your evaluation.
